Freddy Harteis

Host & Producer

Freddy has been a professional hunter, passionate outdoorsman, conservationist and television personality/producer for more than a decade. He has guided & hosted adventures on the Harteis Ranch; a spectacular hunting outfit located in southern Colorado. Freddy’s personal hunting experiences include travel to the remotest, wildest and most beautiful reaches of the world. He is a world class archer and has brought down some of the worlds most dangerous game with just his stick and string. 

Freddy has successfully produced and hosted the Hollywood Hunter television series for the past seven years and only plans to continue forward with the quality of his productions. He is currently traveling across the U.S. teaching kids and adults about the ethics behind hunting and giving back to the land.  He enjoys working with non profits like the American Heart Association, Fathers In The Field, The Way Outfitters, and his own personal project, the Big Fred Tribute / Bird Hunt & Auctions where he shares in the hunt with wounded vets and terminally ill kids and uses these wonderful platforms to raise funding for those in need and as a way to give back to our outdoor industry.  "It’s the heart of the hunt that matters most" Freddy says. Taylor Nida


Taylor Nida is a professional post-production editor from Los Angeles working in film, television, trailers, and reels. In 2013 he has been part of the Hollywood Hunter Team editing together the adventures of Freddy Harteis and Thunderpants across the globe.
Working with the Hollywood Hunter Team has been a fulfilling, professional experience for Taylor. The bigger the hunt, the better the challenge as the editor.

Michael Short (aka: Thunder)


Camera man Michael Short joins Freddy and his team to document the hunt and at time adds his own cometic commentary. Nicked name "Thunder Pants" in the early seasons of the "Hollywood Hunter”, Michael has endured the elements around the world with Freddy and been along for many ups and downs as the show continues to grow. A close friend of the family and one of the Hollywood Hunters most trusted team members.

Benmont Locker


Benmont has worked in the outdoor industry for over a decade. Developing multiple brands, key account relationships, private label product programs and an abundance of media projects in-between. Initially starting as a sponsor of the Hollywood Hunter Season 1, Benmont saw the vision of Freddy and jumped on board to help execute his dream.

Rocky Jo


Born in Texas, educated at Boston University, Rocky has directed over 100+ world class athletes including Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, Peyton Manning and for clients such as Toyota, Gatorade, The US Marines, US Navy, US National Guard, Cisco Systems, and numerous NFL, NHL, and NBA Teams.
With his deep knowledge of writing and highly kinetic, often dramatic directing style, Rocky’s projects have been showcased in 50+ festivals and garnered over a dozen awards. He passionately strives for excellence in life and in art, but at the end of the day, Rocky loves working with great people who tell real amazing stories.

David Kang

After serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, David’s love for film resulted in a job as a casting assistant. He soon started his own commercial and music video casting company, quickly becoming the industry leader for music video casting.
His clients have included Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Enrique Iglesias, Justin Beiber, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and David Bowie to name a few. Corporate clients have included Coke, Nike, Target, Gap, Budweiser and BMW. David expanded his services and began producing music videos for artists such as Katy Perry and the Rascal Flatts and feature films like “Detention” starring Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook. David is looking forward to contributing his creativity and the capabilities of Integrated Productions to the success of The Hollywood Hunter.

Daniel Mai


Growing up in the mean streets of the city, you probably thought Daniel was prepared for the great outdoors. Not this cow boy. Instead, you might find him hiding behind a tree or being spooked by slightest sounds of nature. But what you won’t find him doing is missing a beat behind the camera. Since graduating from San Francisco State, Daniel has mastered the art of screenwriting and film production. From developing several shorts, to directing commercial work, it seems his most daunting task will be keeping up with his boss and brother-in-law, The Hollywood Hunter. But that shouldn’t be a problem. As the new Field Producer, Daniel’s ready for a challenge. Freddy on the other hand, might have another thing coming.


Aaron Kimbro


Raised in Los Angeles and coming from a military family, Aaron enjoys using his voice each year to honor veterans in various Memorial Day services around our country. His voice work is his passion and also his gift to help others. Aaron looks forward to working on the team with Hollywood Hunter as the new voice for Season 7.
